Youth Etiquette – Youth Manners Classes
Manners can be cool! Kids manners classes teach proper etiquette to those in elementary school.
The 1st through 5th grade girls’ and boys’ lessons focus on developmentally appropriate life skills. In this age group, our goal is for children to learn how to communicate effectively, think of others instead of themselves, and present themselves with confidence.
Class length and times might vary. Classes are typically offered in two segments; Part I (2 1/2 hours-meet twice) and Part II (2 1/2 hours-meet twice). An example of content covered in Part I and Part II might be:
1st – 5th Grade boys’ and girls’
- Introductions, The Knife, Direct Eye Contact, Firm Handshake, Introductions
- The Spoon – two courses will be served, thank-you notes, table manners
- The Fork – three courses will be served, dining conversation, posture
- Multi-Course Dinner – dressy attire; individual presentations on chosen country
- Parent/Student Wrap-Up
